Patient Information

Welcome to Northside Family Dentistry! We’re committed to making your dental experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible. This page provides important information about insurance, financing, what to expect during your visit, and our office policies.

What to Bring to Your First Appointment

For your first visit to Northside Family Dentistry, please bring your insurance card, a valid photo ID, a list of current medications, and any relevant medical history information. If you have dental X-rays from a previous dentist taken within the past year, we can request those to avoid unnecessary radiation exposure. Arriving 10-15 minutes early allows time to complete any necessary paperwork and ensures we can start your appointment on time.

What to Expect During Your Visit

During your first visit, Dr. Andrew Byrne will conduct a comprehensive examination of your teeth, gums, and oral structures. We’ll take necessary X-rays, discuss any concerns you have, and develop a personalized treatment plan. Dr. Byrne takes time to explain everything using relatable examples and analogies, ensuring you fully understand your oral health status and treatment options. Our goal is to create a comfortable, welcoming environment where you feel heard and valued.

For routine checkups, you can expect a thorough cleaning by our dental hygienist, an examination by Dr. Byrne, and a discussion about maintaining optimal oral health at home. We believe in preventive care and patient education, helping you avoid dental problems before they start. Whether you’re here for a routine cleaning, root canal therapy, oral surgery, or cosmetic treatment, we’ll make sure you’re comfortable throughout your entire visit.

Office Policies

We ask that you arrive on time for scheduled appointments to ensure we can provide the full time needed for your care. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance so we can offer that time to another patient. Payment is expected at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made. We’ll provide cost estimates before treatment and help you understand your insurance coverage. Our office maintains strict HIPAA compliance to protect your privacy and personal health information.
